' A city without wise leaders will end up in ruin; a city with many wise leaders will be kept safe. ' Proverbs 11:14
The simple and obvious tag for this scripture would be: VOTE!
Its very easy to be caught in the mindset that we should just be looking for that one good leader who will lead us out of a mess. But that’s not what this scripture says.
Its true about what happens to communities when there is a leadership vacuum. However this scripture points to a larger solution than just vote for a leader. We need to have ” many wise leaders” to make this work. Since this proverb is in a collection of others that emphasize godly wisdom ; could it be that we are seek God’s wisdom as individuals while working together to serve and lead our communities? Isn’t that what God designed and designated His people/children/church to do?
Its important to select good, wise leaders. Its more important to be a good wise leader working with other good wise leaders guiding our communities.
